The New York Times has an article on Glenn Beck, FOX News' new star and hero of the right. It seems FOX always finds a new "idol" to communicate high dosis of right-wing populism.

The New Hampshire House has passed a bill that would make gay marriage legal. The bill still has to be approved by the Senate, but, if that happens, it is still not clear whether Democratic Gov. John Lynch will sign it. Lynch has previously stated his opposition to same-sex marriage. We call on governor Lynch to sign the bill (if passed by the Senate). It would be a good sign that Democrats not only talk the talk, but actually walk the walk on civil rights and liberties. Continue reading ...

It seems clear by now that Republicans haven't learned anything from their electoral defeats. Instead of reaching out to new segments of the electorate, party leaders and figures are preaching the same old divisive message to please a narrow-minded right-wing minority of extremists. Our opinion: We believe that David Cameron's decision to focus on Britain's massive debt is correct. While we usually support tax cuts, a tax-cutting agenda is not what the current British economy needs right now. A balanced budget is essential for a strong economy, not just tax cuts.
